(Jakarta & Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

Site based
• Mine planning and technical support at a site level to maximize productivities in the most cost effective, efficient and safe manner,
• Organize and provide direction for junior engineers.
• Monitor progress and ensure targets set by the project are met on time and at a Thiess quality.
• Communicate and direct technical aspects of the operation to mining operations and management teams.

Jakarta based
• Provide support to site technical services teams across Asia. Managing and producing mine planning outputs for Clients and Thiess – focused around longer term and strategic mine planning.
• Provide mine planning inputs for tendering new business across the Asia business unit. Liaise with Clients and estimators to provide necessary data for pricing.
• Liaise with Client corporate and site based technical teams to support Clients in developing and optimizing mine plans and strategies.

What skills and experience do you need?
• Minimum of Bachelor degree of Mining Engineering or Geology with minimum of 3 years’ experience for mine engineer and 5 years’ experience for senior mine engineer in open pit mining operations, prior Thiess experience will be highly regarded .
• Proficient in mining principles, mine design concepts & operations in both coal and/or metal ferrous mines, mine operation regulatory requirements, proven skills in geological modeling and mine scheduling softwares. Minescape, Xpac, Deswik, Vulcan will be highly regarded;
• Possess government certification of POP (Pratama Competency Test) or POM,
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, good analytical, responsible and adaptable.
• Proficient communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both verbal and written. Strong English skills will be highly regarded.

Some of your duties will include:
• To manage coordination of operator training & on job assessment necessary for mining operation personnel to develop their skill on various equipment currently operating at TCI Mining Project in order to achieved best performance on mining operation productivity;
• Ensure the delivery of training program and competency database record is within the highest quality and accordance to TCI procedure;
• Ensure mine operator trainer are focused and constantly providing training and assessment in accordance with TMS and operator log book competency criteria;
• Assist in the design of driver assessment material which is relevant to used competency standards and provide suggestion for improvements.

What skills and experience do you need?
• Minimum graduated from Senior High School/ vocational school or similar with minimum of 10 years’ experience within the mining and/or construction industry as a HE Operator; 5 years’ experience as a mining operations trainer or supervisor; has knowledge of heavy equipment operational & technical; familiar with Heavy earth moving equipment operator codes including truck and/or excavator/dozer/grader/wheel loader; Highway truck codes; Certificate IV in Workplace Training; POP Certification;
• Strong communication skills (written & verbal); facilitation skills; presentation skills; have self-confident, familiar with work in under pressure and computer literacy. Competitive salary and benefits will be offered to the right candidate.

Some of your duties will include:
• Develop and Implement Occupational Health at Site;
• Providing medical Info for safety talk and notice board;
• Monitoring and following up injury management, Rehabilitation and Hygiene inspection and food sanitation at catering provider then report to management;
• Providing medical evacuation drill, Involving First Aid and Emergency Rescue Team; Conducting Training on medical first response and rescue to all team members;
• Improving internal site medical first response and rescue team competency, oversee preparation of emergency response facilities and team;
• Facilitating implementation of the project health and safety improvement plan.

What skills and experience do you need?
• Nursing Academy; Minimum 2 years as First Aider; Training in fire & Rescue; BLS and ATLS; Hyperkes training. Have competency and skill based on emergency response specific case; Understand about HSE standard on mining and plant activities, OHS Regulations Statutory regulations
• The candidate should fluent in English both oral and written, and proficient in computer literacy; strong communication both of external and internal; proactive, initiative & innovative.

Some of your duties will include:
• Advising the Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents and Supervisory Staff on overall safety in the workplace, and providing direct support as necessary in supporting in their safety responsibilities.
• Conducting regular inspections of workplace to ensure the observance of safety standards and take corrective measure as required
• Ensuring all incidents , work related illness and dangerous occurrences are investigated and recorded and take recommendations as required
• Assisting in the Organization of safety committee meetings and maintained records of meetings including any recommendation made.
• Communicating and maintaining up-to-date records, for verification of the implementation of Safety Management Plan
• Provide direct support for Supervisor as necessary in supporting them in their safety responsibilities
• Provide full support to the Project Manager and the line management team in risk identification and their prevention of all incidents.
• Work with Project manager and HSE Superintendent to contribute to and execute the Safety and Environment Action Plan.

What skills and experience do you need?
• Tertiary education Occupational Health and Safety Degree. Have experience on mining operation practice is more preferable, with minimum of 5 years’ experience as Safety Supervisor; Have strong knowledge about safety, health & environment;
• Strong leadership, self-motivated, ability to influence, innovative and problem solving, supportive, communicative, and able to work under pressure are preferred character traits; English proficiency spoken and written, computer literate

Some of your duties will include:
• Provide project support in the area of Industrial Relation is in a timely and professional manner in order to prevent industrial action and maintain of relations with Wahana local government/community which are affected by or have an interest;
• To keeping abreast of employee – Industrial Laws, Legislation, Rules, Regulations and case decisions;
• Lead and assist Line Management to focus on positive industrial relations environment and dispute settlement;
• Accurate, timely and targeted advice on Industrial Relations and negotiating strategies eg. Dismissal and grievance resolution;
• Actively representing TCI in Industrial case resolution when appropriate;
• Maintaining close contacts with governmental agencies, union leaders, and others with respect to employee – Industrial Relations matters;
• Negotiate CLA outcomes.
• Identify trends and developments requirements in site Industrial Relations field
• Actively review the site potential IR issues for further development
• Clear employee communication channel
• Ensure CLA applied;
• Manage IR monthly report, etc.

What skills and experience do you need?
• Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Law or Communications from a reputable university; minimum of 10 years’ experience in similar role; Good working knowledge of current HR & IR practices, laws and government relations
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to deal with difficult people, initiative, planning & organizing skills, good in coaching/mentoring and negotiation/mediation, good analytical, conflict resolution, sound decision making skills, time management, and able to work under pressure are preferred character traits; excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
