Since its creation in 1993. RasGas has developed world class facilities for the extraction, storage, processing and export of LNG, and has entered into long-term agreements to supply LNG to customers in Korea, India, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Taiwan, and the United States of America.
In relatively short period of time, RasGas has emerged as a leading player in the global natural gas industry, supplying and delivering LNG to an international portfolio of customers, with a fleet of long term chartered LNG tankers and initiating technology-led projects such as the production and sale of helium.
The significance of Qatar s energy resources and of the part played by RasGas in extracting and distributing those resources continues to grow, in 2010 RasGas seventh LNG train came online, boosting the overall LNG production capacity of RasGas to approximately 36.3 million tonnes of LNG per annum (Mta).

These roles are offered on Resident Assignment in Qatar, on long term (indefinite term contract) employment opportunity with attractive tax free salaries and benefits including annual bonuses, free housing accommodation, medical and dental care for employee and immediate family members resident in Qatar, educational assistance for up to 4 school age children, annual leave ticket allowance for self and family, end of service benefits.
Applicants should have a minimum of Secondary education with at least 6 years of experience in LNG, LPG, Sour Gas Processing, Sulphur Recovery, Refinery or a similar process environment together with a mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of process instrumentation and DCS Operations.
Candidates should have a minimum of seondary education, engineering Diploma is prefered. At least 10 Years experience as a DCS Panel Operator in a Utility Plant or Gas Processing Facility with preference for LNG liquefaction knowledge.
In addition, candidates for all 3 roles above must meet the following competency
• High aptitude with Safety Management Systems, High level of competency in relationship AND team building including communicative skills in English Language between peers.
• Transparency in reporting of production process problems, sharing of knowledge and lessons learned
• High focus on process operations optimization and effeciencies including minimizing all flaring
• High focus in work management processes including permit to work, equipment isolations, temporary control system defeats, etc
